Subscriptions and Licenses

Customers use a subscription-based model to manage their TRXio accounts. Separate licenses are designated to help manage, organize and track inventory separately by group, division, business unit, geo-location or separate accounting needs as defined by your organizational structure.  Typically, how you account for and audit your inventory is managed in one of two ways.  First option is by assigning a given location, what we call a “logical location”,  the second option is by a “business use” such as a division or previously structured entity within your company.

Types of Subscriptions

Each TRXio customer has three possible pathways or subscription types depending on the size and complexity of the organization. Customer account subscriptions are either a "Solo", "Team," or "Expedition". 

Solo Subscription

The Solo Subscription is a limited feature license and base version of TRXio designed for the 1 and 2 person business or startup, where the organization needs to have traceability of where product comes from and goes but is not worried about distinguishing who is doing the inventory movements and transactions. The Solo Subscription is designed for one logical location or business use with a maximum of 20 internal locations, and all users within this subscription account type have the same admin access levels. All Solo Subscriptions are billed to your credit card automatically each month.

Team Subscription

The Team Subscription is a full feature license version of TRXio designed for the professional and established business. Team Subscription is designed for one logical location or business use with a maximum of 200 internal locations. The Team Subscription level includes five initial users and additional users can be added to the account at any time after account setup. Team level Subscription are offered in both annual and monthly billing payment options to match your cash-flow needs.

Expedition Subscription

The Expedition Subscription is an enhanced license version of TRXio designed for the more complex or enterprise level organizations, that require expanded control over user access and have the need for more than one logical location or business use. Expedition Subscription level accounts have the framework for custom enhancements or extended API connections. Similar to Team Subscriptions, the Expedition Subscription level includes five (5) initial users with the enhanced credential control that can manage all user access from one interface. Expedition level accounts are able to create additional network licensed locations to better manage the organizational needs as they evolve.

Types of Licenses

A customer's TRXio subscription is organized into three different license types for each of your individual locations or business uses, which include either Anchor, Network or Archival Licenses.

Anchor License 

The Anchor License is your "first and primary" license assigned to your organization’s subscription account within TRXio.  All users are registered and managed for your TRXio subscription within your Anchor License. 

Network License

The Network License is "any additional or subordinate" license assigned under your Anchor License, for additional locations or separate business use.  The Network License provides a platform for organizations to manage, organize and track inventory separated by group, division, business unit, geo-location or when separate accounting requirements dictate a separation.  Network licenses can be customized to share data between licenses such as; customers, products, locations, vendors and more.  Network licenses do not have assigned users and all user access to the Network license is managed by the Anchor license.  A common uses for a Network license are, (1) adding multiple company locations, like a second or third store or facility, or (2) when adding multiple business uses (separate divisions) one for a manufacturing division that tracks raw materials to create a product, and another separate Network license will used for a Sales division for finished goods and products.

Archival License

The Archival License is a read-only license, as a database storage and backup for subscriptions that have ended their effective use, yet are required to maintain usage data due to reporting considerations or regulatory compliance.

When do you need to add or have multiple licenses?

If you have more than "one logical location or business use" requiring you to manage, organize and track your inventory separately by group, division, business unit, geo-location or separate accounting (as defined by your organization).

Example 1 - Adding a license for multiple logical locations?

You have a need for additional “logical locations” (more than one store or facility) for managing, organizing and tracking your inventory separately. A “Network” license can be added to your subscription, and is managed under the primary “Anchor” license.

Example 2 - Adding a license for multiple business uses or organizational structure?

You have a need for additional licenses for multiple “business uses or organizational structure”, when you need to manage, organize and track your inventory separately by group, division, business unit, or separate accounting.
